The OLQM Altar Server Society is composed of young, Catholic men and women from the parish. These devoted young people come from OLQM School and the parish's Religious Education Program (for public school students). They offer their help at the holy sacrifice of the Mass and make it a more special, reverent time of prayer and reflection for the entire congregation. Besides merely serving on the altar, they are recognized among their peers as young leaders and models of good example. They are truly fine people.

To strengthen the bonds with one another, there are many fun activities that the servers participate in, including pizza parties, sporting activities, and trips to amusement parks.

Every October, classes are held to train any young Catholic (5th grade and up) who wants to become an altar server. If you are interested in joining, please email David James with any questions you may have.

   An Altar Server's Prayer   

Loving Father, creator of the universe,
you call your people to worship,
to be with you and one another at Mass.
I thank you for having called me
to assist others in their prayer to you.
May I be worthy of the trust placed in me
and through my example and service
bring others closer to you.
I ask this in the name of Jesus Christ,
who is Lord forever and ever. Amen.
